Job title: Sales Engineer
The position is primarily responsible for providing technical support to our sales
team, interpreting our products’ specifications to our sales team and clients and
coordinating between the manufacturing and sales team in the US.
The essential job duties include:
1. Providing technical service on product fitment, engineering product drawings, engineering design details, product attributes, and cross-reference products with competitors to clients;
2. Communicating and cooperating with manufacturers on product drawing detail adjustment, engineering design analysis review and improvements on defect products;
3. Providing engineering support for PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and quality documentation-all levels;
4. Work closely with sales team on business development, technical support and customer complaints resolution;
5. Reviewing product quality testing and field testing to ensure product meets all the engineering design codes and safety requirements;
6. Establishing protocols for defective product reworking process;
7. Communicating with oversea technical and engineering team in headquarter for product defect analysis, product quality control, customer field testing report,
engineering drawing and testing reviews, and material analysis;
8. Reviewing customer defects and labor claim issues for technical approval;
9. Providing training and guidance to sales team and distributors on technical product specifications, returned product analysis, product performance review etc.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical or a related engineering field is required;
2. Proficiency in analytical and statistical methods, with familiarity in tools and software such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Optimization tools;
3. Be familiar with engineering design software, particularly AutoCAD;
4. Ability to analyze product deformation and failure resulting from stress, torque, bending, and related forces etc.;
5. Be familiar with engineering analysis and problem-solving using MATLAB;
6. Ability to apply economic principles to analyze supply and demand, client behavior, and support sales activities;
7. Understanding of engineering project management processes, including relevant tools and methodologies;
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
