Week 1

Alex C:

This week marked my first remote work experience, and I was introduced to my summer tasks. I began by working with the sales team's CPFR files and order files to track fill rates, which involved learning various Excel tasks and commands like X-Lookup to enhance my efficiency. On Tuesday, I started my marketing tasks and discovered the differences in marketing programs across companies. I found that each company takes pride in specific areas where their marketing departments excel, but there is always room for improvement given the rapid development of the online world. On Thursday, I worked with the product management team on an interchange file, further improving my Excel skills, particularly in using filters and commands to locate cells and products efficiently. Throughout the week, I gained valuable insights and skills that will help me excel in my remote work environment.

Jack T:

This week marked my first full week at the desk, and I learned a significant amount of pivotal information. I primarily worked with Olivia, Brian, and Katelyn. With Olivia, I focused on freight quoting and assisting with customer orders, as well as putting orders into the system. With Brian, I helped create a spreadsheet to track inventory on hand at the beginning and end of the month, including shipped and replenished items. My tasks with Katelyn involved printing E-commerce labels and assisting with day-to-day tasks within the vendor portal. Throughout the week, I gained valuable insights and skills that will help me excel in my remote work environment.
